"At Mechanical Dynamics, visualization is critical to our customers' success in applying ADAMS and virtual prototyping. We see this trend continuing as we explore ways to leverage the Web for collaboration between vendors and their suppliers. We believe the OpenHSF Initiative, which promises a common, stream-capable visual format, represents a significant foundation element upon which next-generation virtual prototyping solutions can be built."

The OpenHSF Specification details the structure of the HSF format and provides a complete description of each object that may be contained in a HSF file.

Developers can use this specification to create or read compatible HSFs without needing to license the HOOPS Stream Toolkit.

Information on the HOOPS Stream Toolkit as well as a Programming Guide are also included.
